The Network
The Network is a national organization of over 1,500 campus-based leaders within higher education addressing the issues of alcohol, other drug, and violence. The Network is a liaison between the U.S. Department of Education and member institutions as well as other higher education professional organizations.
Member institutions encourage and enhance local, state, regional, and national initiatives through a commitment to shared standards for policy development, educational strategies, enforcement, evaluation, and community collaboration. Members agree to adhere to a set of standards aimed at reducing alcohol and other drug problems at colleges and universities.
Mission Statement
The Network is the national organization that proactively addresses the issues of alcohol, other drugs, and violence in order to promote healthy campus environments through self-regulatory initiatives, information dissemination, and technical assistance. The Network serves as a liaison between the U.S. Department of Education and member institutions as well as other higher education professional organizations. Member institutions encourage and enhance local, state, regional, and national initiatives through a commitment to shared standards for policy development, educational strategies, enforcement, evaluation, and community collaboration.
